The tiny farming village of Tuckertout sits on the edge of a largely unexplored valley. Lately, townsfolk have been disappearing in the night, never to return. What they don’t know is that deep within the depths of the valley lies a colony of mushroom monsters who control minds with their spores. They seek to grow their numbers using the townsfolk. Recently, the colony managed to infect the druid who guards the valley, who now acts as a guardian and mistakenly believes the mushrooms to be innocent.
The characters begin in Tuckertout, where they learn of the disappearances and investigate the town to discover where the missing townsfolk have gone. Following the evidence trail, they travel into the misty valley and discover the grove, where they must face the mushroom colony while protecting the infected as much as they can.
